Nova Heating & Sheet Metal Ltd has been a proud family-owned and operated business for over 70 years, serving the Greater Vancouver and Lower Mainland areas. Our story began in 1945 when our founder, Jack Ball, started his plumbing and heating business in Lower Lonsdale, focusing on coal and wood burning furnaces, and later, oil furnaces. As natural gas became mainstream, Nova Heating underwent significant growth, adapting to the changing needs of the community.

Throughout the years, our company has remained committed to providing top-notch services to our clients. Jack's son, Darrell, took over the business in the early 1980s, and under his leadership, Nova Heating expanded to meet the demands of the increasing population. In 2013, our current owner, Travis Ball, took over the business and introduced refrigeration (air conditioning) to our service portfolio. Travis has since focused on bringing new technology to the heating and cooling marketplace, forging strong relationships with custom homebuilders, and offering the most efficient, environmentally friendly products available.

• Travis Ball, Owner: Having worked for Nova Heating since 2002, Travis has a wealth of experience in the industry. He holds a Gas B ticket, is TECA and Quality First certified, and is factory-trained in all products we sell.
• Kim Molz, Office Manager: A chartered accountant with over 25 years of experience, Kim is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our business. Her warm and friendly attitude makes her a pleasure to work with.
• Darrell Ball, Senior Technician/Sales: With over 45 years of experience, Darrell is a highly skilled technician and sales expert. He assists with servicing, installations, and sales, and enjoys sharing his knowledge with clients.
• Eddy Mathias, Labourer/Service Technician: Eddy has been part of our team for over 5 years, offering his skills in troubleshooting and assisting with annual servicing, installations, and new construction.
• Eric Shellard, HVAC/R Apprentice: Eric is a 1st-year Refrigeration Mechanic enrolled in Industry Training Authority BC (ITA). He is eager to learn the heating and cooling trade and is committed to delivering exceptional service.
