Who we are
The Atlantic Canada Regional Council of Carpenters, Millwrights and Allied Workers (ACRC) represents over 4,500 skilled professionals across the Atlantic region. We are committed to building strong communities through quality workmanship and collective bargaining.
1. Representation & Negotiations
- Collective bargaining with employers to secure fair wages, benefits, and working conditions for our members.
- Representation in grievances and disputes.
- Support for negotiations with employers on issues like job security, safety, and training.
2. Training & Development
- Investing in apprenticeship programs and skills development opportunities to ensure our members stay competitive.
- Providing training programs on new technologies and safety protocols.
- Partnering with educational institutions to ensure access to quality apprenticeship and training programs.
3. Fairness & Advocacy
- Promoting fair treatment and safe working conditions for all construction workers.
- Advocating for policies that benefit our members and the industry as a whole.
- Working with partners to address issues like affordable housing and infrastructure development.
4. Community Involvement
- Engaging in community outreach and volunteer activities.
- Providing educational resources and safety information.
- Supporting local initiatives and fundraising campaigns.
5. Strengthening the Industry
- Working collaboratively with other stakeholders to strengthen and grow the construction industry.
- Promoting the value of skilled trades and the importance of apprenticeship programs.
