Our Story
Founded in 1998 by Teresa Matamoros, Garden Holistics initially began operations in the Greater Toronto Area. After years of studying horticulture and working in gardens, Teresa decided to relocate the business to the shores of southern Georgian Bay in 2004. This move allowed her to focus more on nurturing plants and less on commuting between sites.
In 2004, Teresa's son, Gabriel, joined the business as a partner, bringing his passion for landscape construction and expanding Garden Holistics into a full-service, award-winning landscape company. Today, Gabriel and his wife, Shannon, who joined the team in 2021, are the proud new owners of Garden Holistics. This dynamic duo has enabled Teresa to return to her roots, dedicating her time to hands-on horticulture, garden design, and plant care.
