Our company was founded by Helen Sproule, who started growing bedding plants in her garage as a hobby. Her passion and work ethic led her to realize that she had too many plants, and she began selling them to friends and neighbors. As demand for her quality plants grew, Helen's husband, Fred, left his full-time job to work with her in what became the Salisbury Greenhouse family business in Sherwood Park, Alberta.
