Our History
Our story began in 1975 when Vince Toth opened the doors to Challenger Building Supplies Ltd. in Lethbridge's new industrial park. Initially, our operations consisted of a temporary office on six acres of land, one truck, and one forklift. As the city's growth accelerated, so did our reputation as a leading industry player. In 1981, we joined forces with Tim-BrMart, the largest buying group in Canada, further solidifying our position as a major supplier of building materials.
Today, Challenger Building Supplies Ltd. employs over 16 full-time employees and operates from a 13,000 sq. ft. retail area and a 30,000 sq. ft. warehouse. Our extensive product line includes dimensional lumber, treated lumber, plywood, OSB, Stanley Bostitch tools, IKO Roofing Products, manufactured roof and floor trusses, and more.
