The Electrical Contractors Association of Central Ontario (ECACO) is a non-profit organization that represents over 40 member electrical contractors serving the industrial, commercial, institutional, and residential marketplaces throughout the Kitchener, Waterloo, Cambridge, Guelph, and Stratford regions. All of our member contractors are affiliated with Local Union 804 of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW). As a leading industry association, we are committed to providing effective, safe, and innovative electrical contracting services to our community.

Our mission is to lead the electrical contracting industry through consistently providing effective, safe, and innovative services. We strive to be a reputed and respected association, known for our technical expertise, commitment to safety, and dedication to our members and the community.
Our Services
As a leading industry association, we offer a range of services to our members, including:
- A local and provincial voice on matters affecting the electrical industry
- Current information on a variety of local and provincial issues
- Access to a variety of industry-relevant training and educational courses
- Networking opportunities through social functions and conferences
Board of Directors
Our Board of Directors consists of experienced professionals who are dedicated to the advancement of the electrical contracting industry. Our Board members are:

- Ben Durrer, Secretary-Treasurer of Aecon Industrial
- Jason Jackson, Past-President and Director of Tri-Electric Solutions Ltd.

Upcoming Events
We have several exciting events scheduled throughout the year, including our April 15th Monthly Pub Night, April 30th AGM & Industry Night, and our annual Industry Conference in Lisbon, Portugal in September.
Scholarship Program
We are pleased to announce the 2024 Scholarship Program, which provides financial support to students who are sons, daughters, or legal wards of full-time employees of our member contractors. Applications will open in June 2024.
