Campbell River Shake & Shingle, a family-owned business since 1983, has been proudly serving Canada and North America from our location on a former forestry property in Campbell River, British Columbia. With decades of experience in the industry, we take pride in manufacturing all of our roofing products in-house and by hand. Our History
The founder, Albert Lafleur, started out as a shake packer at 15 and turned his passion into a lifelong trade. In 1983, he opened Campbell River Shake & Shingle to offer a higher level of personalized service to residents of Campbell River and businesses across North America. In recent years, we have expanded our operation with the purchase of a forestry property to accommodate the growing needs of our customers. Our facility is currently being remodeled to continue providing superior service. With over 70 years of combined experience, Albert and his son Jeremy continue to provide environmentally friendly roofing solutions throughout the continent.

Our shakes are made from 100% edge grain and come in a variety of grades to suit the style of your property. Shingles, available in an array of shapes and styles (Blue Label, Red Label, Black Label, and Undercoursing), are custom-made in-house and by hand, or can be ordered to fit your specific needs. We are committed to offering professional and consistent results, ensuring the integrity of your roof and the safety of your home. In addition, we provide specialty order options to customize your roof for energy efficiency and protection from the elements.

Our team of experienced professionals is regularly inspected for grade quality and we are certified by the Cedar Shake and Shingle Bureau, offering various product warranties (30 or 50 years) on our treated products. Customer Service Issues
The reviewer, Cedar Roofs, had a disappointing experience with the company's customer service. They sent someone to pick up ridge caps from the Victoria location on a Friday, but despite waiting for 5 hours, they did not receive a return call. This lack of response and communication led to frustration and disappointment.
Operational Inefficiencies
The reviewer also suggested that the company should update their online hours to indicate that they are closed on Fridays to avoid confusion and miscommunication.
