Our Story

Parkdale Green Thumb Enterprises (PGTE) is a Toronto-based social enterprise that embodies the principles of balancing social, environmental, and economic sustainability. As an award-winning eco-landscaping company, we have been creating jobs and providing training for people who have experienced mental health issues, addiction, or are at risk of homelessness. Our journey began in 2001 when we received our first contract from the Parkdale Village Business Improvement Area. Since then, we have grown and evolved to become a leading provider of climate change responsive plant maintenance, landscaping, and streetscaping services to a wide range of commercial clients, including Business Improvement Areas.

Planet-friendly Streetscaping

Transform your Toronto neighborhood or Business Improvement Area with our beautiful and eco-friendly streetscaping services. Our team will install flowers and greenery in large planters, hanging baskets, and small gardens to create a vibrant and inviting atmosphere. We take pride in our work, having won the TABIA award for streetscaping in 2014 and 2018.

Commercial Groundskeeping

Our professional team will maintain your office grounds to keep them looking their best. From lawn care to pruning, our services will ensure your outdoor space is always well-manicured and safe for visitors.
