Unsatisfactory Experience with Magen Security

The reviews highlight the dissatisfaction of two customers with Magen Security's services. Despite their long-term associations with the company, they both felt that the service was overpriced and the customer service was unprofessional.

Resistance to Change and Rude Treatment

Geoff Lew, who had been a customer for 6 years, tried to negotiate a better rate with Magen Security after shopping around. However, the company's response was unsatisfactory, with the manager trying to make the decision for him and offering a paltry $5 discount. When Geoff expressed his concerns, the manager was confrontational and threatening, attempting to cancel the service and take down the equipment.

Poor Communication and Misleading Claims

Coleen Hunter, who had the security service for 3 years, was frustrated with Magen Security's high rates and poor communication. When she tried to cancel, the manager, Susan, was rude and uncooperative, sending an installer to remove the equipment without her consent. Furthermore, Susan made misleading claims about the ownership of the control panel, which was actually owned by ADT.

Alternatives and Savings

Both Geoff and Coleen ended up switching to other security companies, finding better rates and more satisfactory services. Geoff now pays $9.99/month, a significant reduction from the $30/month he paid with Magen Security. Coleen notes that her new company provides more services for a lower price.
