Our Story

At Premiere Landscaping & Garden Centre, we are a family-owned and operated business that has been thriving since 1994. Initially, we started as a landscaping company, catering to both commercial and residential clients across Sault Ste. Marie. However, after recognizing the high cost of purchasing plants, our founder, Peter Notte, thought it would be more efficient to start growing his own. This led to the construction of a small greenhouse beside his house. Later, he met Irena Notte, who brought extensive garden knowledge from her upbringing on a farm in Poland. Together, they opened up a nursery that has now grown to become a premier destination for gardening enthusiasts. Today, our greenhouse spans over 10,000 square feet, offering a diverse selection of annuals, hanging baskets, flower arrangements, tropicals, vegetable seeds and plants, herbs, trees, shrubs, and potting mix. In 2013, we expanded our retail gardening business to include a gift shop, now offering everything to enhance your garden and yard, including pots, wall art, bird baths, fountains, and much more.
