West Castle Works is a Canadian artisan design studio specializing in the creation of custom cabinets, furniture, fireplace mantels, and other interior products for both residential and commercial environments. Our team of skilled artisans and craftsmen are dedicated to designing and building unique, often one-of-a-kind pieces that combine the artistry and craft of woodworking, stonework, and metalwork, wood and stone carving, mosaic making, surface texturing, metalization, patination, and other techniques. We strive to create well-crafted products and harmonious environments with a distinguished sense of elegance and character.

Our products are handcrafted and individually made one at a time, or manufactured in limited quantities. We take great pride in every product that leaves our studio, as each one is a hot-fusion of inspiration, passion, and materials. We work directly with homeowners, designers, and architects to provide product design solutions that will satisfy contemporary and traditional tastes.

Our Process

Our process begins with a consultation where we listen to our clients' requirements to establish the nature and scope of the project. We then conduct a home visit to gather relevant architectural information and site measurements. Based on the gathered information, we draft a rough design plan, discuss it with our clients, and gather more information and discuss choices of materials. We then revise the plan and prepare the final plan draft, along with a work schedule. Once all plans are approved, we start the manufacturing process, followed by installation, which is coordinated with other tradesmen working on the project.
