National Moving & Storage

The American Trucking Associations (ATA) is the largest national trade association for the trucking industry. With a federation of 50 affiliated state trucking associations and industry-related conferences and councils, ATA is the voice of the industry that America depends on most to move its nation's freight. In 2020, ATA established the ATA Moving & Storage Conference, the leading national organization representing household goods moving companies and industry suppliers, as well as various state moving and storage associations. The Conference serves as the leading educator and partner to moving and storage consumers worldwide.

The American Trucking Associations' Moving & Storage Conference is dedicated to the continual improvement of the moving and storage industry. We strive to provide the highest level of service to our members, while maintaining the highest standards of professionalism, ethics, and customer satisfaction. Our mission is to promote the interests of the household goods moving industry, while ensuring that our members adhere to a strict code of ethics and honorable business practices.

Services

As a member of the ATA Moving & Storage Conference, our member companies have obtained the ProMover certification, which is only awarded to moving companies that have passed a thorough background check, including their operations and previous work. These companies agree to abide by the ATA's Code of Ethics and a set of honorable business practices. Our ProMover program makes it easy for consumers to verify the identity of a mover and ensure that they are working with a reputable company.

Certifications

Members of the American Trucking Associations' (ATA's) Moving & Storage Conference are dedicated to the continual improvement of the moving and storage industry. While ATA MSC members may continue to display certain certifications and awards they received from the American Moving & Storage Association (AMSA), there are many certifications individuals and companies can obtain from the American Trucking Associations to demonstrate their professionalism and commitment to ethics and a high quality of service.

Our Official Charity Partner

Our official charity partner is Move for Hunger, a non-profit organization that mobilizes the relocation industry to fight hunger and reduce food waste. They work with companies across North America to collect unwanted, unopened food from people who are relocating and deliver it to local food banks. Training and Certifications

Our training and certification programs are designed to help individuals and companies maintain the highest level of professionalism and expertise in the moving and storage industry. Our programs include the ProMover certification, the Certified Moving Consultant certification, and many others. These certifications demonstrate an individual's or company's commitment to ethics, professionalism, and a high quality of service.
