Since 1955, Accurate Lawn & Garden Equipment has been a trusted name in the outdoor power equipment industry. Our story began during the Second World War, when Simpson Garage started sharpening and repairing reel mowers due to the rationing of gasoline and rubber. After the war, the business picked up again, and the owner continued to service lawn equipment part-time. In 1955, the lawn mower end of the business grew significantly, and it was decided to make it a full-time operation. A garage employee bought out the business and relocated to Sargent Avenue, carrying Toro Power Mowers and Clemson Bros. Reel Mowers.
Over the years, Accurate Lawn & Garden Equipment has undergone several ownership changes. In 1967, Dave Neufeld bought the business and relocated it to 830 Scotland Avenue. By 1970, the shop had grown to 2800 square feet, with a larger showroom and shop area. This allowed Dave to hire more full-time and part-time employees and display more product lines. We have continued to add to our inventory, carrying top-quality products such as Toro and Ariens, which we have been carrying since 1955.
