From our humble beginnings over 50 years ago, Richmond Building Supplies has evolved into one of BC's most respected building supply dealers. The story began in 1966 when three local builders recognized a need for a quality building materials supplier to serve the needs of builders and developers in the fast growing areas of Richmond, then mostly farmland, and south Vancouver.
Our journey started with an old house on Vulcan Way at the rear of the current complex on Bridgeport Rd. As business grew, we added a door shop, followed by numerous expansions and extensions to facilities. In 2002, we underwent a major renovation and expansion of our showroom, and soon thereafter, we upgraded our door plant and equipment. Today, Richmond Building Supplies employs over 30 people, serving a large and loyal customer base of primarily custom single-family home builders, while also serving contractors who work on a range of projects from small renovations to large scale, multi-family developments.
