GenMec ACL Construction, Maintenance & Industrial is a company with a rich history that dates back more than 65 years in Northeast Alberta. We take great pride in our long-standing relationship with the region, having been a part of some of its greatest construction landmarks. Our areas of specialization include commercial, industrial, and institutional construction and maintenance services. Every job we undertake is performed with the utmost care, adherence to the highest standards, and a focus on quality and safety.

In addition to construction, GenMec ACL offers a variety of maintenance services, including electrical and mechanical systems maintenance and building repair. Our services are available in Fort McMurray, Conklin, Cold Lake, Bonnyville, as well as the Lakeland area. Brick by Brick: Our Story

GenMec ACL's story began in 1950 with Valere Roy, a Bonnyville carpenter who started modestly with general carpentry and small residential projects. Valere's Construction grew quickly with the needs of the community, and by 1975, Valere's Construction was the premiere general contractor in the region. In 1979, Valere sold the general contracting and mechanical divisions to his younger brother Clermont, who aptly changed the company name to Gen-Mec Construction. In 1984, Maurice Mercier, who worked for Gen-Mec in the early 1980s, branched out on his own, and in 1987, Reg Roy, Clermont's son, joined the family business full-time. In 2004, Reg took over the family business that his uncle and father had built over the previous 50 years, and in December of that year, GenMec ACL was born.
