Songer Architecture

SONGER architecture inc (SAinc) is a local, focused architecture and interior design studio that has been serving Southern Alberta since 2011. Our team, led by Principal Architect Elizabeth Songer, is passionate about creating spaces that draw people together and enhance communities. We have established a strong reputation for designing successful cultural and community spaces that act as social catalysts for more liveable and vibrant communities.

At SAinc, we believe that beauty grows out of functionality. Our designs are enriched by client-based collaborations, allowing us to create innovative spaces that support the client's needs and budget while reflecting their identity. Our team is involved with every stage of project design, ensuring continuity and accountability on every project we undertake.

Community Spaces

We are proud to have worked on various community spaces, including the Nikka Yuko Bunka Centre, Genevieve E. Yates Memorial Centre, Sterndale Bennett Theatre, Big Brothers Big Sisters, McKillop United Church, and St. Augustine's Anglican Church. We understand the importance of creating spaces that foster a sense of community and belonging, and we take great care in designing spaces that meet the unique needs of each community.

Commercial Spaces

In addition to community spaces, we also offer our services for commercial spaces. Our portfolio includes The Post Peak Physical Therapy, Kinetic Indoor Cycle & Fitness, Haptic Dance Arts, Petris Liquor North, and other commercial spaces. We approach each project with a focus on functionality, sustainability, and aesthetics, creating spaces that not only meet the needs of the business but also enhance the user experience.

Other Spaces

We believe that every space has the potential to be transformed into something beautiful and functional. That's why we offer our services for other spaces, such as interiors and galleries. Our team takes a holistic approach to design, considering every aspect of the space to create a cohesive and intentional design.

Process

At SAinc, we approach each project with a tried-and-true process that ensures quality and accountability. We work closely with our clients to understand their needs, budget, and objectives. From there, we develop a concept design that reflects the client's vision and identity. We then move on to design development, documentation, and contract administration, ensuring that every detail is taken care of.

Our team's hard work and dedication have been recognized through various awards, including the Lethbridge Chamber of Commerce's 2021 Business of the Year Award and the 2018 Women in Business Award. We are proud of these achievements, but we are even more proud of the impact our work has had on the communities we serve.

Our Team

Our team is composed of creative professionals who are dedicated to making a difference in our community. We are committed to sustainable design and approach every project from a LEED perspective, strongly incorporating passive solar and environmental design. We are also committed to minimizing waste and supporting local business in our community.

As a design team, we have given back to the community through pro bono work to Non Profit organizations and through sponsorship of community events. We are proud to be a part of the Southern Alberta community and are committed to making a positive impact through our work.
