Our History
Nova Countertop was established on June 1st, 1991, with a humble beginning in a 2500 square foot warehouse space in the Burnside Industrial Park in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. We started by offering post-formed laminate countertops, and as our business grew, we expanded into Dupont Corian solid surface production. We soon outgrew our initial space and took over a neighboring business, increasing our space to 4500 square feet and allowing us to serve a larger area, including Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Southern New Brunswick.
In 2002, Dupont approached us to become the first authorized Corian Quartz installers in the Atlantic region. We worked closely with them to fabricate the product in Quebec and ship it to us for installation. Our sales continued to grow, and we eventually needed to expand our shop again. In 2006, we purchased a new building at #6 Trider Crescent in Burnside, doubling our space to 7000 square feet on the ground and 1250 square feet of mezzanine space.
As our business continued to thrive, we began setting up a separate shop area to fabricate Dupont Corian Quartz engineered stone products. This move allowed us to control the fabrication process, improve delivery times, and reduce pricing, all while maintaining high-quality standards.
