Poor Communication and Unreliable Service
One reviewer, Dale Stanton, had a terrible experience with Hilltop Tree Service. He had to call multiple times before getting a response, and when they finally called back, the caller ID was blocked. The company took a week to return his call, and he expressed concern about the kind of response he would get if he had issues after hiring them. Another reviewer, Robn S., had a similar experience, stating that the company left a trail of destruction and removed more trees than agreed upon.
Disappointing and Unprofessional Service
Robn S. also mentioned that the worker tried to deceive him about the health of his fruit trees, telling him they were bad when they were actually full of fruit. Sam K. had an even worse experience, hiring Hilltop to cut down three trees in his backyard in Brampton. The job took four months to complete, with delays and excuses. The company failed to deliver on their promises and ignored phone calls, leading Sam to withhold payment and eventually write a scathing review.
Exceptional Service and Quality Work
However, most reviewers had a very positive experience with Hilltop Tree Service. Ann Byrd had her dead and problem growth cleared, with the company respecting her neighboring property owners' concerns. Ilia Kaminker and his mom were impressed with the company's ability to clear their property and create a defensible fire line. The workers were fast, professional, and friendly, and Ilia even received help with his mom's chain saw. Julie M. had her trees pruned and was thrilled with the service, stating that she would definitely use them again. Mary-Lou F. also had a good experience, praising the company's ability to safely take down large trees and manage her heavily treed property.
