Ackert J Construction

Ackert Construction Ltd. is a family-operated business that has been serving Saugeen Shores since the early '90s. We started with landscaping and developed into a full-line excavation company, now servicing excavation across Bruce and Grey counties. Our business is very community-orientated, supporting the local Chamber of Commerce, various hockey associations, and making school donations. We also contribute to the Southampton Hospital Foundation. The owner, Jeff Ackert, is an active Station Chief for the Saugeen Shores Fire Department, with nearly 30 years of service.

We offer a wide range of services including residential excavation such as basement excavation, sewer and water connection, septic systems, driveway construction, and lot clearing. For commercial and municipal clients, we provide site servicing, sewer and water connections, storm water management, and street sewer and water main servicing. Our agricultural services include barn excavation, driveway construction, fence line clearing, and pond digging. Additionally, we offer demolition services for both residential and commercial properties, as well as fire insurance clean-up. Our products include aggregates like sand, gravel, screened topsoil, cedar mulch, P-Stone, and clear stone. Finally, we provide snow removal services for commercial parking lots and heavy municipal snow blowing, along with loading and hauling snow.
