At Baker Flooring, we pride ourselves on being a family-owned and operated business that has been serving the Newfoundland market for over 50 years. Our journey began in 1970 when our founder, Roderick G. Baker, decided to start his own business after 15 years of experience as a local flooring salesman. Our humble beginnings started in a small family home on Highland Drive, and over the years, we have grown and expanded to our current location at 80 Brookfield Road in St. John's, NL.

Our Story

In the 1980s, we faced a major setback when our warehouse on Bell's Turn was destroyed by fire. However, we didn't let that setback hold us back. We temporarily relocated to Hallett Crescent and eventually found our permanent home at 80 Brookfield Road in 1982. We purchased and remodeled the building to create a full-service flooring shop, complete with a commercial and residential showroom, a fully stocked warehouse, and an office complex.
